Catherine Chadwick
I have been a Clinical Hypnotherapist for more than 8 years now and practise in London, UK (www.londonhypnosis.co.uk). I trained at one of the foremost schools in London, namely the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. Before training, I had long been fascinated by how the mind works and the potential of the mind. For me, the tool of self-hypnosis has been enormously impactful, and I continue to be fascinated by this simple yet effective tool.
Prior to that, I had trained in and practised a number of Complementary Therapies including Nutritional Medicine, Craniosacral Therapy, Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. So all in all, I have practised complementary therapies in one form or another for the past 20 years.
The joy I have in my work stems from enabling others to clear away those issues and blocks that are preventing them expressing themselves more fully, for I believe we are all here to give our gifts to the world. I also believe in providing people with tools to help themselves.
With this in mind and a desire to teach once more and work with groups, I set up a project at the beginning of the year to deliver practically useful personal development workshops(www.thesundaycourses.co.uk). I aim to present fascinating content as well as tools participants can take away and continue using. Some of my courses are directed at goal setting. This led to my becoming involved in a project with the prestigious Old Vic Theatre in London.
My writing career began by accident. I saw an advert for someone to write fifty articles for a new website on Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and, because they liked the quality of my writing on my own Hypnotherapy website, they gave me the job! Having to write ten articles a week though was demanding to say the least.
I have continued writing articles and have written for online article websites such as Ezinearticles as well as writing articles for my personal development website. I am a member of Toastmasters International, an organisation dedicated to the development of public speaking, for which I regularly research and write presentations.
